 Hope Anti Addiction Action Group is a non profit charity based in Bangalore, India founded in 1988 by Fr George Kannanthanam with a view to work for alcoholics and drug addicts, as a part of the social initiatives of the Claretian Fathers. Registered in 1990, Hope expanded its scope of work subsequently to work with HIV/AIDS, disabilities, disasters and rural development. Hope has all legal compliances like 12A, tax exception under 80G and permission to receive foreign funds under FCRA. At present Hope runs eight projects for the welfare of various vulnerable section of the society with over 50 staff and an annual budget of around 30 million Indian rupees. 

 Working Area 

 We work with the most marginalised groups in the society. We focus on de addiction, HIV/AIDS, disability and inclusive development, eye care and eye donation and disaster management. 

Our focus area is Karnataka with also operations in other States of India. We also work with other countries on specific issues. We work in Nepal for earthquake. We are working with different countries on blindness prevention and eye donation. 

We are a registered organisation in United States of America as Project Vision. USA 

 Target population

 Women, children, Person with disabilities, Person affected by HIV/AIDS, people who Is victim of disasters, under privilege population in the society.
